Conference Outings

Option 1: Green Island Tour Date: Friday 23 July 2004 Time: 11:45am (meet at the Registration Desk), arrive back at approximately 5:30pm Venue: Green Island Tour Cost: $A115.00 (Includes lunch. Drinks are not included and you will need to purchase these at your own expense from the bar) Minimum Numbers: 100 people   Enjoy a day out at Green Island to experience tropical island paradise. Experience the boat ride from Cairns to Green Island with lunch upon arrival. Once there, choose from an array of activities including, snorkeling, a guided nature walk, a view of the reef under water in a glass bottom boat and access to the resort swimming pool (all the above activities are inclusive in the cost of $A115.00). There are many other optional activities available too, at a cost.

Option 2: Skyrail to Kuranda and Rainforest Tour Date: Friday 23 July 2004 Time: 11:45am (meet at the Registration Desk), arrive back at approximately 5:00pm Venue: Skyrail to Kuranda/Rainforest Cost: $A104.00 (Does not include meals or drinks. Meals and drinks will need to be purchased at your own expense)   Travel over the rainforest by Skyrail to Kuranda, a small village located in the Atherton Tablelands. Delegates will have a chance to visit the Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Butterfly Sanctuary. Or, why not take the Rainforest River Boat Cruise for a scenic tour of the area. The above activities are all inclusive in the cost of $104.00.

Great Barrier Reef Tour Date: Saturday 24 July 2004 Time: 9:45am (meet at the Conference Centre), arrive back at approximately 5:15pm Venue: The Great Barrier Reef Cost: $A162.00 (Includes hot and cold buffet lunch. Drinks are not included and you will need to purchase these at your own expense)   Begin the day by traveling out to the Great Barrier Reef by a fast catamaran with morning tea/coffee. Once at the Reef, choose from an array of activities including coral viewing from the reef viewer, experience snorkeling or take a look at the underwater observatory. (All the above activities are inclusive in the cost of $162.00)

Accompanying Person Activities

Accompanying persons are also welcome to join the delegates on the optional Conference Outings on the afternoon of Friday, 23 July and Saturday, 24 July, having purchased additional tickets.

Further activities are at the discretion of the accompanying persons. Staff members from Destination Cairns will be onsite at the Convention Centre each morning to advise and make bookings for various Social Activities.
