Location
Cairns is located in tropical North Queensland, in the north-eastern corner of
the Australian continent. With its mountain backdrop and ocean views, Cairns
is world-renowned for its pristine natural beauty and attractions such as the
Great Barrier Reef and World-Heritage-listed rainforests. Cairns is serviced
by an international airport and has regular direct flights from many Asian
and Pacific locations
Venue
The conference will be held in the
Cairns Convention Centre, located in the heart of Cairns and close to
major hotels. This purpose-built centre, opened in July 1996, has been voted
as one of the world's top ten international convention centres.
Poster Displays
Poster displays will be located in Halls C and D of the Convention Centre.
Trade Exhibition
The Trade exhibition will be located in Halls C and D of the
Convention Centre, co-located with the Posters and morning/afternoon teas.

Climate
Cairns has a typical tropical climate, with really only two distinct seasons.
"Winter" begins in May and runs through to November. It is the
dry season, a time of usually idyllic weather, with sunsine, low humidity,
little rain and fresh breezes. Temperatures range from 16C to 25C.
